Underwater Robot for Environmental Protection

Project abstract

Simple Exploring Underwater Robot for Environmental Protection is an underwater robot that lets people, especially students, carry out experiments, research, and exploration in marine environments.

Since water pollution is a global issue with serious consequences for ecosystems and food chains, we wanted to create a system that made environmental investigation more accessible. The robot helps users explore marine environments and advocate for the importance of marine protection.

The robot provides a set of tools and sensors to collect water samples and environmental data. It can reach places that are difficult for people to access directly, and the collected data can be visualized on a smartphone for analysis. Data can also be exported to spreadsheet files for later research. Cameras on the robot stream the underwater environment in real time, and a tethered remote-control setup makes the robot practical to operate from shore.
